Masari Seeks Rehabilitation Of 13 Katsina LGAs Ravaged By Terrorists

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has said that government must to do a lot in the rehabilitation of rural economy of the people displaced by terrorists at 13 local government areas of the state.
 Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking at a meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates and presidential aspirant, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State at Government House Katsina.

According to him, a number of displaced persons do not have anything to start up local business or farming as all their belongings were lost to bandits.
 He said government has completed census of all women who lost their husbands, their benefactors and belongings  to bandits.

The Governor said the state government is working with the UNDP to provide support to the affected orphans, particularly in the area of education.
 He said plans are also under way to ensure local government areas provide scholarship to each of the orphans from primary to secondary levels.
 Governor Aminu Masari said the State Government has spent over 100 million Naira in the rehabilitation of Shimfida Village, destroyed by bandits as a result of which over 13,500 people moved out to Niger Republic.
He said the state government has started returning them back to the village after stationing military to provide security for them.
Governor Aminu Masari particularly appreciated Fayomi kayode for his zeal to ensure a United Nigeria.               
 Earlier, the Presidential Aspirant and Ekilti State Governor, Kayode Fayomi promised to ensure Nigeria remain united.
