Masari Calls For Establishment of Passport Production Centre In Katsina

Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari has stressed the need for establishment of passport production center in the State.

Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking when he received Minister of Interior, Abdul-Ra’uf Aregbisola on a courtesy visit.

He observed that establishing the production center would ease difficulties in going to Kano that also attract bulk of work particularly at the period of annual hajj exercise.

According to him, high demand of passports prompted the establishment of an enrolment center in Daura to facilitate the existing passport office in Katsina.

 The Governor also pleaded the Minister to consider establishing another enrolment center in Funtua to allow more people from the Southern part of the State process their traveling documents.

Earlier, the Minister of Interior Abdul-Ra’uf Aregbisola said he was in Katsina for the commissioning of the State Command Headquarters of the Immigration Service on Tafawa Balewa way along Katsina-Dutsinma road.

The minister who was in company of some management staff of the Immigration Service promised to do something about the requests made by the governor.
