Chairman of Makarfi Local Government of Kaduna State, Engr. Kabiru Makarfi has charged Muslim faithful to utilize the last lap of the Ramadan to solicit Allah’s grace for seamless and peaceful transition in the state and the country in general.
He said the country as awhole should be committed to the hands of God for His grace which he noted superceded every human imagination and expectations.
The local government boss added that Kaduna State as gateway to Northern Region, needs stability for growth and development of other parts of Nigeria, particular with another cycle of transition on the way on May 29 this year.
He reminded Muslims of the importance of a Night of Decree found within the last ten days in the month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed.
“Allah accepts prayers observed on this night of Decree or Destiny because of its relevance in relation to the revelation of the Holy Scripture of Muslims.
“We must endeavour to present the collective needs of this country and kaduna state in particular to God Almighty for His urgent and magnanimous intervention so that the country can once again have a peaceful transition that will usher in a new chapter in our nationhood and March in democratic experiment.
“I urge us to ignore all naysayers and people who do not mean well for our country and state who are suggesting an undemocratic system alien to our constitution and norms.
“I can assure you that Kaduna State under the leadership of the governor-elect Senator Uba Sani will experience unprecedented economic growth and development because of his passion for prosperity and compassion for the masses.
“I enjoin us to commit our dear State as one of our prayer points in the last lap of the Ramadan Month because we have no other state than this which We must cherish and protect by all means possible,” he admonished.
