Lion Stars FC Win Of Second Edition WAL-BOG Motors Football Championship

Lion Stars Football Club has emerged winner of the second edition of the WAL/BOG Motors Football Championship at the expense of  Shafaudeen  Patriots during the final match played inside the mainbowl of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan on Sunday evening.  

The donor and financier of the cup, Olawale Ogunkeyede, CEO WAL-BOG Motors was full of gratitude to the leadership of Grassroots Football Talents Developers Association of Nigeria (GRAFTADEAN), for organizing the grassroots tournament in an orderly and satisfactory manner.

Ogunkeyede in his speech during the closing ceremony witnessed by many eminent personalities said the transparency of the organizer (GRAFTADEAN) has really complimented his objective for the tournament which is aimed at fostering camaraderie and identifying local football talent at grassroots level in Oyo State.

Among dignitaries that witnessed the cup final are the bigwigs in auto business in Ibadan which includes Alh. Baliamin Ismail who promised to support the next edition of the tourney while Alh. Olayiwola Kolawole the CEO of De-KK Auto also pledged his readiness to join in developing talent through sports.

Other dignitaries in attendance were Engr Waheed Afolabi, and Coach Wasiu Asanike, both members of the Board of Trustee of GRAFTADEAN.

Cash and gift items were presented to Brown Dougbene of Lion Stars FC who was picked as the Best Coach of the tournament while the Best scorer, Ismail Serif of CCC Rehoboth FC and the MVP, Oseni Hammed of Shafaudeen Patriots also rewarded.

A plague was also presented to the leadership of GRAFTADEAN, the organizer of the football championship by the sponsor of the event, Olawale Ogunkeyede for his appreciation to the President of the body, Lawal Akeem Abiodun, popularly called Coach Udi, Coach Leye Ogunyinka and Abass Ishola.
