An All Progressives Congress (APC) Cheiftain in Kaduna State, Hon. Muhammad Sani Abdulmajid aka MS Ustaz, has tackled Islamic clerics in the state for accusing the state’s APC-led Governor, Mal Nasiru Ahmed el-Rufai over sacking of some local local government staff in the state, saying such Islamic clerics, are only challenging the will of God.
MS Ustaz who is also an Islamic cleric told newsmen in Kaduna that, “such Islamic clerics have deviated from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Though, the frontline politican as well as a Chairmanship aspirant for Kaduna South Local Government seat declined to mention names he said,”90 per cent of Islamic clerics in the state, are supporting the state government as well as praying for its success.”
According to the seasonal business man, “I personally know that 70 of the affected staff don’t report to their various offices. I know of a particular staff who only visits office to collect salary.”
He observed that, that was why the monthly grants sent to the state government ends up in payment of salary and makes it difficult for the local authorities to execute laudable projects that would impact on the people at the grassroots level.
“It is unfortunate, I am challenging that particular so-called Islamic cleric to come out and defend himself.”
He called on people of the state to rally round el-Rufai’s government to enable the government execute more visible projects in the state.
On his aspiration, MS Ustaz said, “I am hopeful that with the mandate and support of the people in the area, APC will emerge winner.”
