Late Otunba Alao-Akala Was An Open Minded Politician – VP Osinbajo

Vice President, Prof  Yemi Osinbajo on Friday described the late Otunba Adebayo-Akala Alao as an open minded politician who would be missed for his magnanimity and compassion.
Professor Osinbajo stated this in Ogbomoso at the final burial ceremony of the former governor held at the  Beulah Baptist Conference ground, Ogbomoso .
The Vice President pointed out that the late former governor during his lifetime served the interest of his people when he was in power and gave quality counsel to those who were around him.
Professor Osinbajo emphasized that former governor Otunba Alao-Akala in office as the governor of Oyo state was an accountable personality who improved the Internationally Generated Revenue of the state from three hundred million naira to one billion naira.
He stressed that the late former governor was responsible and respectful to the views of individuals and will be missed for his counsel and compassion.
Speaking, Governor Seyi Makinde disclosed that the late Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala loved everyone regardless of their political differences and that he .
would be honoured accordingly and will not be forgotten for his good deeds.

The Church service was attended by the Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode  Fayemi, and former Ogun State governor, Ibikunle, Oyo State deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, Ogun State, deputy governor , Mrs Noimot Oyedele Salako, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Deputy National Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Amb Taofek Arapaja among others.

The remains of the former governor of Oyo state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala was later  laid to rest at his Opadoyin Akala residence in Ogbomoso.
