Meanwhile, AIG Owohunwa Idowu, the AIG FCID (Annex) Lagos, has  assured the public that the FCID (Annex) under his watch will remain resilient and unwavering in advancing the course of criminal justice within the dictates of fairness, strength of evidence, and adherence to the criminal law procedures.

According to him, this will be done regardless of the status of the offenders, their social networks or the ill-informed actions by any person or group to threaten public peace in a pre-meditated attempt to blackmail or obstruct the Police with intent to truncate arraignment of such offenders and frustrate the criminal justice delivery process.

” In so doing, it is recognized that the accused remains innocent until proven guilty. Hence, citizens are called upon to support the police in the advancement of its criminal justice delivery mandate rather than resort to actions that could threaten public peace in a manner that is manifestly inimical to the interest of criminal justice delivery, as such may attract firm police actions in overriding public interest.”, AIG Owohunwa added.
