The Senatorial hopeful of Labour Party for Southern Kaduna Senatorial district in the 2023 general elections, Engr. Dr. Michael Ayuba Auta, has expressed shock over the recent spate of attacks and killings of innocent lives and valuables in Kaura and Ikulu Chiefdom of Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Southern Kaduna region.
Engr. Dr. Auta, said the series of recorded attacks and killing of his people has become a hunting norm for the faceless cowards, who only derive pleasure by instilling fear and sniffing the oxygen of innocent people, who are living their lives as good citizens of the state.
Engr. Michael described the evil act as yet another attempt by criminals who do not mean well for the region and the state, saying that all their efforts is stitched with the aim of taking Southern Kaduna to back to the dark days of insecurity, that has been fought and overcome with innocent blood and tears.
The Senatorial candidate while commiserating with the victims and families of those killed, charged the governor as the number one security officer and the security agencies, who have been working tirelessly to ensure that peace and normalcy returns to the region, to do everything possible within their powers to bring the perpetrators to book.
Engr. Auta said, “My heart again bleeds by this tragedy as lives of our innocent citizens who are cut short for no reason, the security agencies must go after those who are behind these murderous crimes and their sponsors, so that the full wrath of the law will be administered to them in the same coin, for we do not need another circle of bloodshed in Southern Kaduna as well-meaning and law abiding citizens have committed to a peaceful coexistence and tolerance, my stewardship will not allow cowards and blood thirsty criminals, no matter how highly placed, to jeopardize the peaceful atmosphere in Southern Kaduna.”
Engr. Mike reiterated his commitment and determination, to promote peace and religious tolerance amongst diverse ethnic groups of the region, by collaborating with government security agencies and the local vigilante by strengthening community policing architecture to enhance intelligence gathering in the region towards quick and timely intervention, in forestalling peace.
He stated again that these efforts will be geared towards ensuring that criminals are weeded out of their terrain.
He further called for calm as no evil has ever thrived without it’s end.
He prayed for the repose of the innocent lives that were lost.
