The Kogi State Government has denied  speculations making the rounds in the state that the Executive Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has established an office for the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

By implication, the rumour said that the  recently installed governor of the state, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has established an office for the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as a mentor.

However, a statement issued by the newly appointed Chief Press secretary to the Governor, Oladele John  debunked the rumour saying  “It is the handiwork of mischief makers who have been thrown into confusion by the unprecedented achievements of the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

According to him, the fake news is a figment of imagination of  the those who have lost out in power equation in the state to cause  disaffection and mislead the public on issues that are frivolous.

The the governor’s image maker however, was optimistic that rumour peddlers  failed woefully to confuse intelligent Nigerians to have their nefarious end as he  commended  the media for exercising restraint and detecting, on their own, that the report was fake.
