Katsina To Spend Over N761m On New Dialyses Centre

Katsina State Government  to spend over 761 million Naira for the construction of a new dialyses center at General Amadi Rimi General Hospital, Katsina.

This is in addition to over 599 million Naira for the upgrade of Faskari Comprehensive Health Center to the status of a general hospital.

The approvals were arrived at during the fourth Executive Council presided by Governor Dikko Umar Radda.

Briefing newsmen after the EXCO meeting, the State Commissioner for Health Dr. Bashir Gambo Saulawa said the dialysis center project would consist of civil work, provision of the dialysis machine, water treatment plant and solar powered section among others.

According to him, the two projects were intended to effectively address healthcare needs of the People of the State in line with the policy agenda of Radda led administration

Also briefing the press, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Alhaji Bello Kagara Said the Executive Council has deliberated more on the memos from Members of the council ahead of the 2024.

According to him, part of the areas attracted the deliberations include security architecture, irrigation, youths and women empowerment, teacher capacity and training among others. 

The press briefing was coordinated by the state Commissioner of Information, Dr Bala Salisu Zango with attendance of the Director General Media to the Governor, Maiwada Dan Mallam.
