Katsina State Government is to establish the State Development Management Board to be responsible for coordinating all development and related activities in the state.
Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda hinted this when he declared open the fifteenth meeting of the National Council on Industry, Trade and Investment held at the conference hall of the state secretariat.
The governor said the board would ensure all ministries, departments and agencies are aligned with the state development objectives to alarm allow the state government has holistic approach to the policy implementation.
Meanwhile, Katsina State Board of Internal Revenue has embarked on a enforcement exercise for show me your vehicle particulars.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relation Officer of the Board, Sada Shu’aibu.
Speaking during the flag-off of the exercise, the Executive Chairman of the board Alhaji Muhammad Aminu Isiyaku Funtua said the exercise has been carried out across the state.
The Executive Chairman represented by the Director Road Tax Alhaji Abbati Yusuf said this was meant to ensure vehicles users have authentic and updated particulars.
He pointed out that a number of vehicles used by perpetrators of criminal activities are un-registered as such the exercise will assist in finding out the criminals and boast revenue generation to execute of developmental projects.
Alhaji Abbati Yusuf stressed that the exercise is not meant to witch hunt anybody.
He therefore called on vehicles users to give maximum support and cooperation to the personnel that conduct the exercise.
