Katsîna Governor Signs 2024 Budget Into Law

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has signed year 2024 budget of 454,308,862,113.96 billion Naira into law as earlier presented to the state House of Assembly.

Speaking after assenting the budget at the Council Chamber of General Muhammadu Buhari (Government) House, Katsina, Governor Dikko Radda admitted that, the level of insecurity in the state has reduced to the minimum of over sixty per cent (60%).

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda appreciated the State House of Assembly for passing the budget in about 33 days after carefully scrutiny.

Governor Umaru Radda expressed gratitude to the state Deputy Governor, Faruk Lawal Jobe and members of the state executive council as well as all those who supported in putting up the budget. 

Chief Justice of the State, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar, the state Grand Khadi, Dr Kabir Abubakar, Members of the state Executive Council and legislative members were amongst Personalities witnessed the signing of the budget.

 Governor Radda promised that his administration would  ensure adherence to the laid down procedure in implementing the budget.stressing that, “Resources would be allocated according to the nerds and priority.”

Governor Radda’ pleaded for more cooperation of the legislature to make the budget a reality through working hand in hand with government Agencies.

He thanked the legislative arm for passing about ten executive bills into law within the last seven months of the state administration such as:- Assets management bill, Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, and the one provided for the establishment of Irrigation Authority among others.

Earlier, speaking before presenting the budget,the speaker of the State house of Assembly Alhaji Nasiru Yahaya Daura  said the Budget had followed all the legislative procedures  before it’s final passage.   

Speaker Yahaya Daura appreciated Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s Administration for allowing the house to exercise it’s constitutional mandate without interference.
