Katsîna Governor Presents Brand New Car To 2023 Teacher Of Year

Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has presented a brand new Peugeot 307 Car to Malam Usman Yahaya Tama the winner of the 9th edition of the state Maltina Teacher of the Year 2023.

Malam Usman Yahaya Tama, a Geography teacher at Government Day Senior Secondary School Natsinta Army Barrack Katsina, was among 1,499 teachers across the country who submitted their application to participate in Educational Trust Fund of the Maltina Company that aimed at celebrating classroom teachers and recognized their efforts towards uplifting the educational sector across the country.

Malam Yahaya Tama, is  an indigene of Bindawa Local Government Area of the state, but  was born and raised in Katsina. 

Malam Tama attended Ambuttai Primary School presently known as Musa Yar’adua model Primary School Katsina and Sir Usman Nagogo Collage of Arabic and Islamic Studies katsina. 

Accordingly, Usman Tama proceeded to further his education at the Federal collage of education katsina where he obtained the National Certificate in Education.         

He then  proceeded to Umaru Musa Yar’ adua University where he obtained a Degree in Bsc.ed Geography.

Malam Tama further moved to Bayero University kano for a Masters Degree in Environmental Management(MEM).

Governor Dikko Umar Radda in his remarks appreciated and felicitated with the courage and zeal shown by Usman Yahaya Tama and called on other Teachers to emulate him.  

Governor Radda then rewarded Usman Yahaya Tama with the Peugeot 307 to boost his morale and confidence. 

The state Commissioner 

Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar Yar’adua on behalf of the Governor

presented the keys of the Vehicle to Malam Usman Yahaya Tama at The Ministry headquarters in Katsina.

In related development the Commissioner Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar Lawal Yar’adua 

also presented to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda two (2) Secondary School students of Government Pilot Secondary School Daura.

The two Students are:- Buhari Suleiman and Abubakar  Falalu who represented Northwest State at the just concluded National Annual quiz Competition on Legislature, Democracy and Governance Grand finale organized by the National Institute for Legislature and Democratic Studies (NILDS) and accompanied to the event by one Ministry official Assistant Director Sports and the teacher from Daura Pilot.

Governor Dikko Radda pledged to sponsor their fees at University level and the Honourable Commissioner Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar Lawal Yar’adua shared the sum of One Million Naira (N1,000,000) to both the participating students and the two officials.
