By; SULAIMAN AHMED MISAU, Katsina Towards fulfilling some of his campaign pledges on education, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved the release of 2,737,603 billion Naira for the construction of seventy five (75) Junior and Senior Secondary Schools. across the 34 Local Government Areas of the State. Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed known in a statement, that the construction was supported by the World Bank -AGILE Project aimed at enhancing secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls in the state. He however, indicated that the said amount represents 20 percent initial advance payment to the contractors. He said Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has authorized the contractors to complete the entire project within 12 months. “Without a doubt, this capital project will significantly boost education in Katsina State,” Kaula Mohammed quoted the Governor as saying.
