Katsina State Commissioner of Police CP Idrissu Dabban Dauda has decorated 343 newly promoted Police officers with their new ranks at the Police Command Headquarters in Katsina.
One Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), and sixteen Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Others include:- 38 Assistant Superintendent of Police two ASP two that were promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police one ASP one, while 288 Inspectors of Police were promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police two ASP two.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Command Management team, Area Commanders, Heads of Department and relations of the promoted police officers.
In his address, the Commissioner of Police Idrissu Dabban Dauda congratulated the newly promoted officers and enjoined them to consider the promotion as a blessing from Almighty God.
He also urged them to be disciplined, loyal and hardworking while at the same time admonished them to eschew all acts of unprofessionalism, noting that with this promotion more responsibilities are being placed on their shoulders.
In a vote of thanks, on behalf of the newly promoted officers, ACP Salisu Gambo Gawuna thanked the Almighty God for life and good health to witness these promotions.
He also thanked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Baba Usman Alkali and Police service commission for finding them worthy of the promotion and promised to redouble efforts in the discharge of their duties.
