Katsîna APC Stakeholders Fill Vacant Seats In State Executive Council

 Stakeholders of the ruling  All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State have filled the existing vacant seats of the state Executive Council and that of Central Working Committee of the Party.

This followed the appointment of some of them to hold political offices while others left the party.

The election of those to fill the vacancies was made during  a joint meeting of stakeholders and EXCO of the party held at Presidential banquet hall General Muhammadu Buhari (Government) House Katsina.

The election was decided following nominations and affirmation witnessed by an officer from the Independent National Electoral commission INEC in the state.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda alongside with his deputy, Alhaji Faruq Lawal Jobe, and the chief of Staff Government house led the  the meeting .

In an opening address, state Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura appreciated the Governor for carrying along all  the Party  officials in governance.   

Alhaji Sani Aliyu was particularly pleased with the support given to the Party by the state Governor.

Also speaking, the State Deputy Chairman of the APC Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa  said the meeting would review  achievements of the Party from the inception of Dikko  Radda’s Government to date.

Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa promised to continue to use electronic media to publicize  the achievements recorded by Governor Dikko Radda in the last six to seven months in office.

This he said was in realisation of the wider coverage of such medium as social media platforms are only limited to those  using android Phones.

He then expressed gratitude to the State Governor for providing brand new cars to the vice Chairmen of the Party from the three senatorial zones

The State Vice Chairman of the Party in charge of Funtua zone Ibrahim Danjuma who moved for the affirmation of Suleiman Namadi from Dutsinma was supported by the party Chairman of Daura local government Mamman S.Bariki .

Other positions affirmed include the State Auditor, Financial Secretary among  other members of the Central Working Committee of the party.

In the meantime, Katsina State Government is to assign a technical committee to study  the compiled laws of katsina State passed by the State Assembly.

The State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda gave the assurance when he received report of the State committee  assigned to compile the eight volumes of the laws led by the  Principal Personal Secretary to the State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji.

Governor Dikko Radda remarked that, the committee would make proposals for amendment of some laws that require repeal, or review.

This he said is to conform with the present day time.

He however, said the State Ministry of Justice would act promptly on the areas identified for amendment to be forwarded to the State House of Assembly  for passage.

The Governor then thanked the committee for the job done.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji said the committee  has discovered the need  for making   amendments on some existing laws passed by the state Assembly.

Shedding more light, the State Solicitor General Barrister Muhammad  Rufa’i Coomassie  said  must of the laws contained in volume one to three require, either  an amendment, review or repeal.

He then pleaded the state government to reproduce copies of the compiled laws which would remain the reference document and guidance to the government and people of the state.

The presentation was witnessed by the Secretary to the Government of the State  Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari and State Attorney General who is also the Commissioner for Justice Barrister  Fadila Mohammed.
