Kano Govt Swears-in 45 Special Advisers

In line with the need of co-opting more resourceful hands for effective delivery of government business, 45 Special Advisers who were nominated by the state governor and approved by the Kano State House of Assembly, have been sworn-in yesterday during an occasion that was held at Africa house, government house.

Addressing the appointees after the swearing-in, Kano State Governor, Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf said their appointments were made based on merit, dedication, loyalty, committment and expectations that they will  relentlessly partake and contribute  positively in taking Kano  State to a greater height.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, dated Thursday September 7, said that  the governor said they  are expected to be diligent in the discharge of their duties saying, ” the present administration is all out to protect the interests of good people of the state and ensure full fulfillment of promises done to the electorates during the campaign period.”

He added that much is anticipated from them in providing quality advices on relevant issues, liase with other public office holders and the civil servants for the smooth coordination of government’s policies and Programs and in accordance with the stipulated rules.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf used the opportunity to tasked Civil servants on the need to be up doing emphasizing, ” as the engine room of actualising government’s initiatives, civil servants need to be dedicated, committed and render selfless service  towards developing our dear state and serve its people diligently”

On the state’s effort of creating conducive  working environment for the Civil servants, the Governor warned, ” as we are doing our best in paying salaries and other entitlements, we as government wouldn’t condone truancy, laxity and other lukewarm attitudes detrimental to effective services delivery”.
