A resident of Television Community in Kaduna, Ejiroghene Peter, has appealed the the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to extend voters registration as many people are yet to register.

Peter made the appeal at the weekend after making several attempts to register, but could not because of large number of people on the queue.

“I think government should extend the deadline for registration because they know that various centers here have a lot of people  still queuing up to register to get their PVC.

“I personally have been going to the registration center for several days and have not had the opportunity to register because whenever I go even as early as 6:30 or 7:00, when I get there, the number of persons there is always discouraging, so that is what I think they should  extend it one more time.” He said.

He noted that the reason the registration was slow could be as a result of limited capturing devices which are not enough to cover the large population that are coming out for the registration.

He however, called on the government to make provision for more devices to ensure faster registration process.
