As reactions continue to trail the recently conducted local government polls in the state with parties accusing the electoral body, Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) of not doing its job properly, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hassan Hyat, has joined the bandwagon in condemning the e-voting process used for the election, describing it as government’s clear indication not to make the election free, fair and credible.

Speaking with newsmen in his residence, he said, since the conduct of the election and the delay in announcing of results, the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) and the PDP executive and supporters have continued to throng the office of SIECOM demanding re-run polls in wards in some local government areas and reversing of results in some.

“If what we are hearing is true, some politicians are already sure of the outcomes of the courts and tribunals verdicts urging the other parties to go ahead and appeal election results,” he added.

Hyat is of the view that what happened in Jaba Local Government Area during the collation of results, where the SIECOM official in charge disappeared with results only to reappear and announce results was unacceptable and SIECOM should investigate the official and appropriate action taken.

It would be recalled that SIECOM had last Friday said aggrieved parties in Jaba and Jam’aa local government areas should go to court to seek redress.
