Kaduna State High Court 3 sitting at Dogarawa Zaria, has ordered Zaria Local Government Council to suspend any work or operations on the controversial land and concentrate on engaging the plaintiffs and the people of Kake Community that have claimed ownership of the land with a view to verifying their claims and compensate the geniune owners before commencing any work or project.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Abdulkarim Mahmud said, in view of the urgency involve in the case, the court ordered for accelerated hearing.
He said, the court has refused to grant the defendant application to restrain the plaintiffs from doing anything on the said land, and ordered the local government and other representatives to stay away from the land.
The case was adjourned to February 1, 2024 for hearing.
