Kaduna State Government led by Senator  Uba Sani has embarked on a replacement exercise of non-functioning streetlights in the state.

Speaking through Kaduna Roads Management Agency (KADRA) at the weekend, the government said  it has come to the notice of the management that some unpatriotic individuals have been vandalizing and removing streetlights and their accessories across the state, saying that this is worrisome and unacceptable.

According to (KADRA),  Kaduna State Government is prioritizing the safety and security of its citizens by replacing non-functional streetlights all over the state.

“Street lights are not only for security reasons, but also improve the city’s overall appearance and enhance visibility for motorists and pedestrians.

“Therefore, KADRA is issuing out a warning to those involved in such acts to stop immediately or face the consequences of the law as security personnel have been deployed to safeguard the streetlights.

”KADRA is also calling on community and youth leaders to join hands in protecting public property as custodians and direct beneficiaries of projects in their communities.

“The administration of Governor Uba Sani is dedicating to making the lives of the people of Kaduna State better,” it said.
