Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos has congratulated Governor Uba Sani for securing victory at election petition tribunal, saying the court’s verdict was affirmation of the will of the people.
In a statement released to newsmen on Thursday shortly after the election petition tribunal sitting in Kaduna upheld the March 2023 gubernatorial victory of Governor Sani, Mamman Lagos counselled aggrieved parties to cooperate and join hands with the Kaduna Governor in his quest to deliver dividends of democracy to the state.
The commissioner expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Uba Sani to fulfill all campaign promises and turn around fortunes of the state to the advantage of all, irrespective of tribe, party and religion.
He assured that the current administration in the state would continue to heed the demands of the people, particular on issues that directly impact the welfare of citizens and those of their families.
“You can see that the governor cares for his people from the actions taken so far since he assumed governorship of the state.
“He listened to the cries of parents and students in state-owned tertiary institutions by reducing significantly the fees charged so children of the masses can access quality education as those from rich homes.
“The governor has touched virtually various sectors of government to ensure people feel the positive impacts of his administration.
“I want to use this medium to appeal to our people that they won’t be let down by their Governor who has shown by his actions and utterances he is out to serve selflessly and pay due attention to welfare of the masses whom he holds dearly in his heart.
“We pray for a prosperous state built on transparency, justice and respect for citizens so that our dear state will reclaim her place as a model for others to copy” he submitted.
