The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe yesterday, conducted a thorough inspection of General Hospitals of Giwa and Ikara, two of the six secondary health facilities selected for renovation, upgrade and equipping as model general hospitals by the Uba Sani administration.
Dr Balarabe was joined by the Commissioner of Health, Ummah K Ahmed, Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development, Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, and other government officials to inspect the hospitals in Kaduna.
It would be recalled that, the recent town hall meeting, Governor Uba Sani announced that two general hospitals from each of the three senatorial zones will undergo upgrade, including General Hospital Ikara and Maigama in Soba in Zone One, General Hospital Rigasa in Igabi and General Hospital Giwa in Zone Two, and General Hospital Kafanchan in Jema’a LGA and General Hospital Gwantu in Sanga LGA in Zone Three.
Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in the health sector in alignment with the SUSTAIN agenda, with the goal of improving healthcare in the state.
