Kaduna Council Boss Charges Community on Peaceful Co-habitation

The Chairman Interim Management Committee of Jaba Local Government Area Mr. Ben Kure has called on the people of the area to co-exist peacefully with one another irrespective of tribe, political and religious difference.
Speaking in Nok on the occasion of 13th edition of Nok Community National Day of prayer organized by the Nok Community Development Association, NCDA over the weekend, Mr. Kure said that peace is the only thing that can make the society progress and develop, adding that development would elude any society that has no peace.
He urged the people of Nok to continue to maintain their peaceful nature of which they were known for in the Local Government Area, and called for support to the present administration in the state to enable it improve the living condition of the people.
In his own remarks the Chief of Jaba Mallam Danladi Gyet Maude commended the Nok community for its foresight in organizing the annual day of prayer and urged other communities in the Local Government to emulate them.
Represented by the District Head of Sab-Zuro Mallam Umaru Bello, the paramount ruler stressed the importance of prayers as according to him prayers can change a lot of negative things to positive.
He used the occasion to advise the people not to be tempted by the love of money to sell their farm produce as the economic recession bedeviling the country calls for prudent management of resources to avert disaster in future.
Earlier, the National President of Nok Community Development Association, NCDA, Dr. Joseph Gyuro said this year’s prayer with the Theme “I have heard the cry of my people” is the thirteen edition in the series.
He said prayer is very important in the life of any community that desire God’s presence in its midst and thanked the prayer committee for a job well done.
In his own speech, the Guest Speaker Pastor Anthony Bahago said that any Community that embarked on constant prayers always attract Gods blessings and admonished the people of Nok to continue to pray without ceasing to get God’s favour and blessings.
In his address, the Chairman Central Planning Committee Pastor Joshua Ahmadu Nok said that the Nok community has enjoyed Gods mercies and favours without measure as God has taken the community from the pit and miry clay and set their feet upon the rock adding that God has been very good to Nok people. Part of the activities marking the prayer day was the free medical treatment for patients with various ailments irrespective of where one comes from. According to the leader of the medical team Dr. Samson Dogo 93 patients under-go successful surgery 157 people with eye problems were treated with 90 of them given reading glasses.
