The founder of Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), Israel Kashim Audu on behalf of the festival lifetime achievement award nomination team, has announced that six film practitioners who have made a mark for themselves over the years in the Nigerian film industry popularly known all over the world as “Nollywood”, have been penciled down for awards.
A statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Ambrose Fadoyin, made available to our correspondent at the weekend, said that those who will be honoured, are, Ali Nuhu,
Dr. Ahmed Sarari (National President MOPPAN), Francis Duru, Mustapha Nabraska and Gloria Anozie Young.
The statement informed that Fatima Washa will be receiving a special recognition award from the film festival.
While congratulating them the founder of KADIFF Audu Kashim Israel urged them to continue to do more in promoting and projecting Nigeria’s rich culture to the world, adding that they were carefully selected because of their growth and contributions to the film industry over the years and no doubt, KADIFF is proud of their success stories.
The 6th Kaduna international film festival will be held from August 22 to 26, 2023 at Alliance Française de Kaduna State, Nigeria from 9:00am daily.
