Programme for the funeral ceremony of the late Enugu State born Nollywood Star, Mr. John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known by his stage name; ‘Junior Pope has been released by his family.
According to his elder brother, Dr. Divine Odonwodo who signed the programme on behalf of the family, the requiem mass is scheduled to hold at Christ the King (CKC), Catholic Parish, G.R.A., Enugu, on May 13, 2024.
On May 16, 2024, there will be a vigil mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ikpogwu, Ukehe his country home by 5:30pm.
His remains will be committed to mother earth on Friday, May 17, at his country home after a funeral mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe.
The funeral rites will be concluded with a thanksgiving mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe, on Sunday May 19, 2024.
Junior Pope and four of his colleagues, drowned after their boat capsized in the Anam area of River Nigeria in Anambra State on April 10, while returning from a movie shoot.
Out of 12 passengers on board the ill-fated boat, only seven were rescued alive, while five died, including Junior Pope who based in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
