Jos North LG Boss Hails Military, Launches 2022 Armed Forces Rememberance Day Emblem

The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman has applauded the sacrifices made by members of the Nigerian Armed Forces in ensuring the country remains a strong, united and indivisible nation.
The Chairman stated this at the launching of the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration Emblem Appeal week in his office.
The Chairman appreciated the armed forces for their sacrifices in protecting the country against external and internal aggression.
Shehu Bala Usman saluted the fallen heroes, gallant soldiers and officers for their unparalleled sacrifices and commitment in defending the nation’s sovereignty, peace and unity.
He said the nation will forever  remain grateful to them for their tireless efforts in promoting peace and unity noting that his administration shall continue to assist security agencies in maintaining law and order in the area.
The Chairman urged Nigerians to support the nation’s Armed Forces in their quest to win the  various ongoing battle against insurgency, kidnapping and other criminality in the country.
The Chairman while announcing his donation, assured the legion that his administration will give temporary appointment to some of the family members of the fallen heroes, adding that the concerted efforts should be made to take care of the maimed soldiers, their widows, Children and other dependents.
Chairman of the Legion in Jos North Local Government Area, Retire Major Garba Itok assured the Council Chairman of their readiness to continue to partner with the council to make life better for his members.
Meantime, Jos North Local Government Council has commenced the distribution of  cooking gas to women.
Wife of the Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Farida  Bala Usman while flagging off the distribution, noted that the cooking gas is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to alleviate the plight of women in the country.
She assured of ensuring equitable distribution of the gas without discrimination.
Receiving the cooking gas on behalf of their groups, the President National Council for Women’s Societies Jos North Chapter, Mary Gyanga and that of the Women’s Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Victoria Bako as well as representative of the Muslims Women Societies, Hauwa Musa  appreciated the wife of the chairman for the fair and equitable distribution of the cooking gas and assured her of their support and prayers to the three tiers of  government.
