Tripartite Union of Jos North Local Government Council has expressed gratitude to the Association of Heads of Local Government Administration of Nigeria for the choice of the Director of the Personnel Management (DPM) of the Jos North, Samuel Laksing as its National Treasurer.
While congratulating Samuel Laksing for emerging victorious at the National Convention of the Association of Heads of Local Governments of Nigeria, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairman, Jos North Local Government Council, Comrade Kish Kida noted that with the emergence of Laksing as National Treasurer of the body, it will activate the service to a model as well as give hope to the third tier of government workers in the country.
The Chairman Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees Jos North Chapter and that of the Medical and health Union Peter Pam Davou, were proud of the DPM Jos North, Samuel Laksing for bringing glory to the local government area and prayed God sees them through in their tenure.
They assured him of their unflinching support and cooperation to enable him succeed in his quest of rebranding local government administration in Nigeria.
Other stakeholders who spoke described Mr. Samuel Laksing as a seasoned administrator with sterling leadership prowess, whose position as National Treasurer of the parent body of Head of Local Government Administration of Nigeria, would help in reviving the system in the country.
While reacting to the development, the Director of Personnel Management, Mr. Samuel Laksing appreciated the stakeholders of Jos North Local Government Area for their love, loyalty and trust in identifying with him after he returned from the National convention and emerged National Treasurer of the body.
He pledged to contribute his quota especially in the area of having one scheme of service for local government workers in the country.
The DPM maintained that as national treasurer, he will rally round his colleagues to galvanize the local government system in the country to make it more effective and viable.
He noted that his administration will prioritize welfare and well-being of Jos North Local Government Council as panacea to boost staff morale to be more productive in the discharge of their civic responsibilities
