JNI Visits Mangu LG Boss,  Sues For Peaceful Coexistence Among Citizens

The Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hon. Markus Artu, on Wednesday October 25,  played host to the leadership of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI).

The JNI delegation led by the chairman of JNI in Mangu Council Area, Malam Ibrahim Manomi, is part of efforts towards ensuring genuine reconciliation and ending the cycle of violence in the council area in order to achieve total peace.

The JNI said that humanity should be the fulcrum for sustainable peaceful co-existence through which disputes would be resolved through dialogue and mutual respect for values, while individual beliefs should be raised above parochial interest.

The JNI chairman, Malam Ibrahim Manomi, also disclosed, that they have forgiven all who have offended them in the interest of the peace and stability in Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State and Nigeria, while assuring the Mangu TIC Chairman, that there will be no reprisals as they were happy that peace has finally come in our land to continue with our normal reasonable businesses.

While thanking Governor Caleb mutfwang, for his many initiatives, aimed at ensuring peaceful co-existence between the worrying communities, the leadership of the JNI also took time to appreciate the Mangu Council Boss for his quick intervention and other proactive measures to prevent the crisis from escalating and thank the federal government, and different NGO’S who contributed towards alleviating the plight of the IDPS.

The Mangu TIC chairman, Hon. Markus Artu, appreciated the JNI group, security agencies and other stakeholders for their efforts at mitigating the violent clashes which had lingered in the area for over 3 Months.

The Mangu Council Boss assured the JIN delegation that Governor Caleb Mutfwang-led administration would continue to support the implementation of the agreement reached between all parties involved, especially the recommendations that required appropriate policy response, to address the root causes of the inter-communal conflict.
