As the 2022 season commences in most of the Northern parts of Nigeria, our correspondent takes a look at how Jigawa State farmers started their raining season agricultural activities especially when there is heavy down pour in some areas.

At Ganuwar Kuka in Auyo Local Government Area,  it was gathered that farmers have already prepared their farmlands for  crops, which is a clear indication that this season would be different from the previous years.

Most of the farmers that had a chat with our correspondent disclosed that Jigawa State gyovernment is making good impact towards the success of crops production across the state, which has encouraged the farmers producing different  produce.

Similarly,  Malam Suleiman from Gwaram Local Government Area said that the AFAN leadership in Jigawa State is doing well to ensure that  farmers benefit from all agricultural provisions that are meant for agriculture which is another landmark achievement.

Furthermore, the farmers announced that the All farmers association of Nigeria (AFAN) under the chairmanship of Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa is the best formidable association in Nigeria that is working selflessly to ensure that all farmers are included into the association’s programmes for profitable production.

“We thank Jigawa State AFAN leadership under Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa and his lieutenants because they are trying their best, and we call on the government of the state to do more on agriculture because farming and livestock rearing have been the mainstay of the state’s economy for decades”
