*Establishes 3 integrated schools in Borno

The Chairman, Borno State Council of Jamiyyatu Ansarudeen Attijaniyya Nigeria (JAMAAT), Syed Ahmadu Abulfatihi II who is also a retired Senior Lecturer with Borno State College of Legal and Islamic Studies (BOCOLIS) now Mohammed Goni College of Legal and Islamic Studies (MOGOLIS) has revealed that the leadership of the organisation has voluntarily mobilized and sponsored training of about 950 registered members of the organisation, including women and IDPs between 2020 and 2023 on various skills acquisition and entrepreneurship of three months training through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
He added that arrangements have also been concluded to train more members, including IDPs and women from selected LGAs of the state this year in order to continue to encourage them to be self reliant and less dependable on others.
The chairman who expressed this in an interview with newsmen on Sunday in his office, said the measure will further accelerate their livelihood sustainability, support and economic growth of the members and society at large thereby boosting economic growth and development of the localities, state and country at large in terms of productivity and manufacturing even at small scale level.
He added that, “with this approach, the society will be more advanced, educated and other socioeconomic activities including agricultural productivity will invariably improve and largely be more freer and independent progressively.”
The chairman explained that despite the fact that the entire activities or operations of the organisation is voluntary service to humanity in the cause of God Almighty and His Messenger (SAW) as part of its empowerment programme, it trained 250 youth and women in 2020, who are registered members through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
He noted further that another set of 200 members were again selected and trained by the NDE same year before in 2021, the vocational training scheme was extended to 500 members of the organization, where NDE trained the members and provided them with certificates and starter packs, kits, tools, etc after the three months training in November 2021.
According to him, the areas of training or specialization include poultry farming, livestock breeding, welding, aluminium fabricating, computer studies, mobile phones repairing, cosmetology ( body creams, bathing and washing soaps, scents, air freshener, deodorants and hair creams making, tailoring and weaving, satellite installations, solar energy installations, soft furnishings and pillows among others
He added that the organisation carries out public enlightenment and advocacy on peaceful co-existence, peace building, religious tolerance, reconciliation, importance of education or learning both western and eastern education and knowledge among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Zannari Madinatu Camp individuals, groups, associations, societies , etc in the society.
He noted that JAMAAT also established three Ansarudeen /Shababul Integrated Schools, one in Jajari and two in Zannari Madinatu.
