Islamic New Year: Katsina Govt Declares Today Public Holiday, Organizes Special Prayer Session

Katsina State Government has declared  Monday, August 1, 2022 as Work Free Day to enable workers and all citizens in the state to mark and Celebrate  the   new Islamic year 1444 (AH) after Hijrah.

A statement by the state Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Abdulkarim Yahaya Sirika said the Governor Aminu Bello Masari urged  all Muslims to Pray to Almighty Allah for Peace, Stability and Development in the state and the country in general.    In a related development the state government has organized a special prayer session to mark this year “Yaumul shukhur” day (Thanksgiving Day) in the state.

The prayer  would be conducted by Ten o’clock in the morning at Usman Fodiyo Juma’at Mosque Modoji Katsina as well as all other parts of the state.
