Internet Fraud: EFCC Operatives Nab 34 Suspects In Ibadan

Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) have arrested 34 suspected Internet fraudsters in Ibadan.

According to a post on the anti graft commission website on Tuesday, 21 of the arrested suspects were arrested on Monday, (July 25, 2022) at Apete and Ijokodo areas of Ibadan in a sting operation

EFCC in the post gave names of the

21 arrested suspects as Paul Uche Obinna, Ola Kareem, Dazumi Hammed Adeiza, Olamilekan Gabriel Ahmed, Olowe Nifemi Michael, Osisi Ikenna Nicholas, Dazumi Abdullahi Razak, Adejuyigbe Abayomi Babatunde, Adesokan Afeez Afolabi, Tobiloba Joshua Adejuyi, Dazumi Azeez Jayeola, Ayegbusi Olamilekan Micheal and Mubarak Salaudeen Opeyemi.

The anti graft commission other arrested suspects as Ibrahim Muhammed Hassan, Salam Ademola Samson, David Sunday Chukwudi, Kolapo Abdulrazak Seyi, Lawal Adesina Sheriff, Faeji Tobiloba Raphael, Bello Ibrahim Damilola and Abisoye Israel Olamilekan.

It pointed out in the post that the remaining 13 suspects were arrested last  Friday, (July 22, 2022) at Airport Road, Alakia and Ologuneru, areas of Ibadan.

EFCC identified the arrested 13 suspects are Salami Ayo Wisdom, Afeez Sode Gbolahan, Abdulkadiri Ojo Adams, Awe Olabiyi Omotayo, Adeniyi Auwal Tomiwa, Abudu Olamiotan Sunday, Ayomide Adeniyi Surajudeen.

Others according to the post  are Olasunkanmi Quadri Adewale, Oladotun Kunle Tijani, Adekunle Damilare Elijah, Abudu Kayode Donald, Eyinla Temitayo Emmanuel and Adekunle Imole Ayo.

EFCC listed items recovered from the 34 arrested suspects are exotic cars, laptops, different brands of mobile phones and several fraudulent documents and that the 

suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed.
