Integrated Financial Management: Kaduna Govt Signs MoU With Price Coopers

Kaduna State Government, led by Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai on Tuesday has signed  a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Price Waterhouse Coopers  for the implementation of the State Integrated Financial Management System (SIFMIS). 
The MoU highlights the commitment of Kaduna State Government to improve the State Integrated Financial Management Information System by engaging PWC to carry out Navision intervention.
The MoU was signed on Tuesday in a brief ceremony in the office of the Deputy Governor held at Government house in Kaduna.
Speaking in an interview with pressmen briefly, the Director, Technology Advisory Price Waterhouse Coopers Nigeria (PWC), Abimbola Taiwo said they were in government house to signed memorandum agreement between Kaduna State government on financial management information system platform, and also to make the platform usable and functional for the users of the State.
According to him, they should be functionality system of  accountability,  transparency within the state government,  people can see what  investment the state is embarking on in very  a transparency manner because every  process within the state government  is a procurement to budgeting,  to finance,  to pension,  to administration, to pay roll, this  will be   transparent  for everyone to see what this judicious is use for.
He said, over the years this solution have involved,  base on our experiences,  to add to new functional system, to do capitalism building, to derived adoption of the system as they are working with office of Auditor general to ensure they are part of this engagement for proper accountability.
He assured that, this engagement is strictly base on technology, we hope to complete this in the next few months,  and people can start seeing more accountability and transparency in the state.
