Ebonyi State Police Command operatives on January 27, 2024, while on routine patrol around Ezzangbo junction, apprehended one Ekipiri Joshua Edugwu a suspected hoodlum and recovered three locally made pistols, six live cartridges, one live 7.62mm and three live 9mm ammunition.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, in a statement, said that the suspect who also confessed to being a member of the Black Axe confraternity, will be arraigned in court once the investigation is concluded.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Augustina Ogbodo Psc is using the opportunity to reiterate the commitment of the command towards combating all forms of crime and criminal activities and ensuring the state is safe for Ebonyians.
