Following the attack launched by unknown gunmen, no fewer than three commuter buses and four motorcycles and a shop have been burnt down at Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The incident which happened earlier today at Ezzamgbo junction, scared people away as they were running helter-skelter for the safety of their lives.
During the attack , no fewer than three vehicles and four motorcycles were burnt down including shops during the attack.
An eyewitness who wouldn’t want his name on print, said that the attack was carried out by suspected hoodlums that were trying to enforce sit-at-home in the area around 9:00am.
Reacting on the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Onome Onovewakpoya said the suspected IPOB hoodlums during the attack, burnt three commuter buses, four motorcycles, one tricycle was burnt down during the attack but no life was lost.
`Today 02/10/2023, Armed men suspected to be IPOB/ESN members in a sienna car attacked commuter buses, tricycle and motorcycles at Ezzangbo junction.
`They burnt down 3 commuter buses, 4 motorcycles and 1 tricycle.
No life was lost.
`Operatives of the Command have been dispatched to the scene and it environs to fish out the perpetrators.
“And we believe that before the end of the day, the perpetrators will be apprehended.”
