*prohibits rallies in all public schools

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has banned the use of motorcycles between 7:00pm–6:00am and also prohibited all forms of political rallies in all primary and secondary schools across the state from November 1, 2022.
Governor Umahi made this known at Ecumenical Centre, during the Citizens’ input and Consultation for the 2023 Budget estimation and Nigeria 2023 Pollution and Housing Census in Ebonyi State.
Umahi stated that the purpose of the ban of motorcycles popularly known as Okada in those hours in the night, is to ensure security of lives and properties more especially in this elective period while all political parties, including the All Progressive Congress must get approval from the Commissioner for Education before organizing any political rally in the state.
