*Says key role in Tinubu’s administration for him, a plus

The leadership of the Concerned Northern All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Forum has described former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim as a nationalist that deserves a key role in the present administration.
Speaking during a press briefing at the weekend in Kano State through its Chairman, Hon. Suleiman Liba, the group said they believe Dr. Ikedi Ohakim would play a key role in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Hon. Suleiman described the former Governor of Imo State as the light bearer from the Eastern region of Nigeria, who understands the importance and what fortunes it will bring to get in the mix of national politics, rather than playing it sectionally or regionally.
“Ikedi Ohakim is the man with the midas touch, whose antecedents of excellence still abounds in Imo State, even several years after he has left office.
“The popularity he enjoys in his home state of Imo is a repudiation of the earlier assertions of Imolites occasioned by falsehood spread against him by political foes whose reputations are buried in the dark dungeon of political history.
“Dr. Ikedi Ohakim has over the years, demonstrated zeal and dexterity at getting square pegs fixed in square holes, a near perfectionist, whose penchant for success is unmatched today amongst political gladiators, a characteristic which matches the person and ambition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to return Nigeria back to the glorious old days and even more.
“An Ohakim ministerial position under this renewed hope administration might just be the catalyst needed to propel us to the desired goals of this administration.
“His campaigns across borders shows vigorous engagements with Nigerians across regions and demonstrate proper support towards ensuring that the Tinubu/Shettima ticket was successful.
“This also characterised his persona as a Nationalist and a quintessential leader of the Igbo people in today’s political terrain, an ardent political student of the Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s political school of thoughts who will stop at nothing at ensuring that all is gotten right.
“His political experience and readiness transcends the 4th Republic,” the group said.
