One of the leading political aspirants in the forthcoming local government elections in Ebonyi State under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Ogodo Ali Nome has pledged to stop every form of insecurity in the area through active engagement in agriculture.

Honourable Nome made this known in Abakaliki while disclosing his intention to contest for the chairmanship position of Ezza North Local Government Area in the foprth coming election.

He stated that the rate of unemployment in Nigeria is alarming which is the major cause of insecurity across the country, saying that he will bridge the gap by creating an environment for mechanized agriculture, which will pave way for massive employment of the youth and thereby, pull them out of crime and other social vices, while others will be engaged with government activities and programmes  for the growth and development of the state.

“If given the mandate as the Chairman of Ezza North Local Government Area, there will be no insecurity because I will secure land where people will be empowered to carry out mechanized farming to sustain the people and generate income to the state because an idle mind, is devil’s workshop. So,when everybody is busy, nobody will go into crime.

“Again, there will be enabling environment for participation in politics and government. When we create enabling environment for people’s participation in Agriculture and Government, there will be no insecurity.

“I need to serve my people at any level”, he said.
