At the Flag-off of the exercise on Saturday at the Sabon Tasha Central Market, March 22, 2022, the group, I Am Nigeria said it is targeting at least 5,000 eligible voters in the area.
Convener of I Am Nigeria, Julius Denham who addressed newsmen on the sidelines of the registration, said that they decided to carry out the exercise to keep the faith in Nigeria alive.
“We decided to do this campaign because lots of people losing faith in electoral process and later they may lose faith in the government.
“We have been doing this campaign online for three months. We started it in kaduna  and 23 states simultaneously,
“We as citizens sponsored this from our purse.
“We hope to do up to five thousand people or more. The turn up so far is encouraging,” he said.
Denham callee on  Nigerians  to wake up to responsibility of making sure the country becomes greater.
“If NIgeria fails we we all feel the brunt, but if we wake up, Nigeria will be one of best countries in world.
“Nigerian are  losing interest in the Nigerian dream.l and chasing after the American dream.  All of us must stay home and build this nation,” he said.
On who is sponsoring the activity, he said that members of the group taxed themselves.
“We are the ones sponsoring our projects, but if we get sponsors, we will do more,” he said.
He lamented that Nigerians have been divided by politicians for selfish rrasons.
“We have been divided along many fronts and the reason is so we can be ruled.
“The more NIgeria stands strong, the better we are as a nation,” he added.
According to him, apart from the PVC registration,  they have loads of activities lined up ahead of the 2023 election.

“We are starting with get your PVC, we will do another one on making votes count.
“We are building patriotism and that is what will make Nigeria work.
“NOA, INEC  and other agencies are not creating awareness, hence we decided to do it as concerned citizens,” he declared.
One of the beneficiaries of the free PVC registration, Faith Amara Habila who resides in  Chikun  LGA  said the process was not stressful.
“I am here to register for PVC, I feel good for recording the success, it was not stressful,” she said.

She therefore, called on her family and friends to go out and register for their PVCs.

Another beneficiary, Godswill Habila also from Chikun LGA said that it is important for youth to get registered to give them chance to select credible leaders.
” I am registering because youth have to come out and vote. I call on my friends to come out and register and also come out and register, vote and protect their  votes,” he appealed.
