Herdsmen-Farmers clash: ADSG constitute Panel of Inquiry

The Adamawa State Government has constituted an Administrative Panel of Inquiry to look into the incident of frequent clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the state.
Speaking to newsmen on the development shortly after an emergency security meeting at the Government House, Yola, the Adamawa Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mallam Ahmad Sajoh, said the panel is to investigate the immediate and remote cause of the clashes.
According to him, the panel is  to ascertain level of damage to lives and property; to proffer lasting solution; and recommend remedial and secondary measures on any person or institution involved.
Sajoh said that the panel which has three weeks to submit its report has Justice Nathan Musa as chairman while Mr Bashir Hamidu would serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are: Adamawa CAN chairman, Mr Mike Moses; Muslim Council chairman, Mallam Abubakar Magaji; chairman Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders, Jawoji Isa; and the president Pene Da Bwatiye Cultural Association, Mr Hezron Fada.
