A group known as Kaduna Concern Forum (KCF) has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the Kaduna State All Progressive Congress (APC) State Chairman,  Group Capt. Emmanuel Jekada (rtd) as a ministerial nominee to strengthen the relationship of the party in the state and at the national level.

Our correspondent reports that Malam Nasir el-Rufai was said to have withdrawn his nomination, following the controversy surrounding his non-clearance by the Senate over security reports.

Musa Audu Yusuf, chairman of the group who stated this in a  statement signed and issued to newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday August 16, appealed to President Tinubu to appoint credible and competent Nigerians into his cabinet of which Jekada possesses such qualities.

He said the Kaduna State APC who is from Kaduna-South is an outstanding Nigerian with an unrivaled track record who has demonstrated patriotism and excellence in his leadership.

” The state chairman has sustained the party’s victory since 2015 till date, adding that he deserves a bigger assignment for some level of patronage in the Tinubu-led new government.

“For fairness and justice, every member who has contributed towards the party’s victory has an inherent right to hope for a bigger platform to explore to sustain the party’s victory they formed.

“We hope that Mr. President will come along with us in that regards and strengthen the relationship of the party in the state and at the national level to enjoin some level of patronage in the new government.” The group added.

Musa argued that the State APC Chairman was coming from a region that has been neglected for ministerial appointment under the APC administration in the state since 2015.

“Jekada has the requisite credentials to occupy the ministerial office or any Federal Agency for the party to sustain its victory and patronage beyond 2027,” the statement said.
