As a result of the ongoing political crisis and  instability in Sudan which has affected so many lives and property, a group popularly known as the National Association of Nigeria Comrades (NANC) has called on the  federal government of Nigeria to ensure the safe return of Nigerians in Sudan back home.

In a press release issued in Abakaliki recently, by the National President of the Association, Comrade Ogbonnaya Chinwendu Emmanuel, the group  tasked the  federal government of Nigeria to take urgent steps to ensuring the safe return of Nigerians in Sudan to avoid further lose of lives and properties.

Comrade Emmanuel further alleged that because of the inability of  the federal government to fulfill its part of the financial obligations to bus drivers who are conveying Nigerians back, most of the drivers dropped their passengers halfway in the desert, thereby, exposing them to danger, calling on federal government and well meaning Nigerians to come to the rescue of our people.

“The ongoing disruption of public peace in the country of Sudan had left  Nigerians disturbed regarding the safety of its citizens resident in Sudan. The fall outs between two owned security outfits in Sudan resulted to its current misunderstanding which has claimed lives and properties of innocent residence.

“The National Association of Nigerian Comrades (NANC),had earlier called on the Nigerian government to convey its citizens back home which the  administration of President Muhammadu Buhari need to consider as a matter of urgency to safeguard lives and property by  making available buses with financial support to convey  Nigerians back home to re-unite with their loved ones.

“As a follow-up to the actions of the Federal Government of Nigeria to ensuring, the full implementation of its promises, the NANC has noticed with dismay, the regrettable and unfortunate acts of the bus drivers conveying the affected Persons. A reliable source and videos trending on social media had it that, the buses dropped half way around an area believed to be a desert with reasons of not being paid fully by the federal government for the services thereby, endangering the lives of its passengers.

The NANC President further beckoned on the federal government to listen to the   yearnings of the bus drivers and fulfill it’s financial obligations as believed to have entered with their employees (bus drivers).

Comrade Ogbonnaya  also wondered why the drivers could display such unprofessional act capable of wasting the lives of the passengers under their watch, asking them to endeavour to return them home and get their full payment based on  the agreement with government as  lives are more important than the financial gravitation.
