A group, Movement For the Protection of Democracy and good Governance (MSDG) has assured that the 2023 general elections would be peaceful and hitch-free where the group called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the February 25 and March 11 elections are actualized without interference.
A statement signed and issued to our correspondent by the group’s chairman, Alhaji Dauda Mohammed Ali said, “MSDG is happy to hear that His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari has constituted a high powered transition committee that would plan and implement handing over to the newly elected government in a democratic dispensation.”
The group further called on Nigeriand to vote wisely in order to ensure that the 2023 general election is free, fair and transparent especially at present when the political situation in the country is taking another dimension.
He thanked the security agencies for playing important roles towards the actualization of peaceful polls.
