*TY Buratai Football Academy beats Wikki Tourist in novelty match

In recognition of his service to humanity, a group, Arewa Mu Duniyar Mu has conferred a chieftaincy title on Ambassador Engr Hassan Muhammad Sarkin Yakin Garkuwan Keffi.
The conferment of the chieftaincy title of Matawallen Arewa was done by the Emir of Bauchi, HRH Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu who was ably represented by Alhaji Ado Danrimi Garba, Wakilin Tarihin Bauchi and was witnessed by well-wishers across the nation in a ceremony that was held at the Emir’s Palace premises Bauchi, on February 11, 2023.
The turbaned Amb. Engr Hassan Muhammad Sarkin Yakin Garkuwan Keffi who is a native of Yobe State, said it was a great delight and happiness receiving the news of chieftaincy title conferred on him.
Speaking at the occasion, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, the Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi said, “It is not surprising for the association to deem it fit to confer this rare chieftaincy title on a distinguished and amiable gentleman for his immense contributions towards Islam and humanity in general.
“It is a well-deserved honour and recognition for him and all his associates, our special appreciation goes to Allah SWT and our mentor, His Excellency Amb. Tukur Yusufu Buratai CFR Garkuwan Keffi whom we are privileged to be close to, Bulama Ibrahim Buratai, we are also grateful to so many individuals who in one way or the other, made the occasion a very memorable one, among whom are Sultan Alhassan, Col. Haruna Idris Zaria, Ibrahim Sani Garba, also Engr Usman Ahmed, former Director Civil Engineering Yobe State, Engr Hassan Geidam, Director Planning Ministry of Works Yobe State, Engr Adamu Bahago Dagona, Director Civil Engineering Services Yobe, Zanna Dapchi, Chairman Bursari, also a current House of Assembly Candidate, Hon Kabir Lawal Jarman Garkuwan Keffi, Engr Mohammed Abbagana, Engr Hassan Bilal, Surv. Ali Badema, Surv. Hassan Gambo, Ali Alh Audu P.A Director Civil, Lukman Mohammed, P.A Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works Damaturu, Musa Jajere, Cashier Ministry of Works, Engr Adamu Idi, Engr Idriss Yerima, Engr Adamu ibrahim, Engr Mohd Ibn Adam and Mohammed Hassan Jajere.
Meanwhile, as part of activities to entertain guests who came from all over Nigeria for the ceremony, a novelty football match was played in honour of the new Matawallen Arewa, Amb. Engr. Hassan Muhammad between TY Buratai Football Academy and Wikki Tourists Bauchi at Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi State.
The match ended 4- 0 in favour of TY Buratai Football Academy.
Thereafter, dinner/gala night was held at TY Buratai Hall, Command Guest Inn Bauchi, were several musicians and artists performed.
