Alhaji Isa Ashiru, the Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for 2023, has assured of his readiness to unite the people of the state for purposeful development.
He said, “The people of the state urgently need a leader to bring them together irrespective of any differences for meaningful development to take place.
“It is unfortunate that of recent, the state is witnessing insecurity and other challenges bedeviling the corporate existence of the state,” he said.
Speaking when a coalition of youth from Southern Kaduna visited him and expressed their support for the nomination of Dr John Ayuba as his running mate, the gubernatorial candidate also promised the youth and women of empowerment, saying that it is critical in the drive for human capital development in the state.
According to him, while politicians see the youth and women as instruments for winning elections, he opined that they remain the critical drivers of development in their various communities in the state and country as a whole.
He believes that any reasonable government thriving for human capital development must empower the youth and women to thrive and contribute to the development of the state and checkmate idleness that leads to social vices in any society.
The gubernatorial candidate appealed to the youth and women in the state who were left behind to be patient, assuring that there would be a lot to go round if elected to office as the governor of the state.
He promised to ensure critical instruments of development in the state by also carrying everyone along irrespective of religion and ethnicity for mutual relationship and better standard of living for the people.
He emphasized that his goal is to be fair to all and operate an inclusive governance as a panacea for peace, success, and tranquility.
Earlier, the leader of the coalition, Mr Danjuma Sarki, explained that they were in Ashiru’s campaign office to thank him for nominating one of their own, Dr John Ayuba as his running mate and assured of their support to the party.
