Governor Mutfwang Condoles  Victims Of Electric Disaster In Jos Community

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Kabong Community of  Jos North Local Government Area, following the tragic incident that resulted in loss of lives and property due to high voltage power last Saturday morning.

Governor Mutfwang, represented by Deputy Governor, Ngo Josephine Piyo, visited the survivors at Ola Hospital and Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), and extended his sincere sympathy to the bereaved families,  praying for the swift recovery of the injured.

Describing the incident as deeply saddening and unfortunate, the Governor assured that stringent measures will be taken to prevent future occurrences. He encouraged the affected families and traders to find solace in God.

Governor Mutfwang pledged the government’s support to help them rebuild their lives.

The governor expressed gratitude to the Kabong Community for their steadfast support to his administration and reaffirmed his commitment to addressing issues to enhance the living conditions of the people of the State.

Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc. Samuel Jatau, Commissioner of Lands and Survey, Barr. Nyam Gai, Executive Secretary of Plateau State Emergency Management Agency, Hon. Sunday Abdu, and House of Assembly Member, Hon. Danjuma Azi, also extended their sympathies and assured the community of the government’s assistance in improving their living standards.

Sylvanus Bonniface, Youth Leader of Kabong Central Youth Forum, who gave an account of how the incident occurred, expressed gratitude for Governor Mutfwang’s prompt visit and appealed to the government to aid the bereaved families and those who lost their livelihoods to enable them to rebuild their lives.
