Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has sworn–in 21 Special Assistants to assist him tackle security challenges in Ebonyi State.
The governor also said he is well prepared and equipped to tackle all the security challenges in Ebonyi State.
The governor also used the opportunity to swear–in 21 Special Assistants, including Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, amongst others.
The event which took place at the new Government House, Centenary City, Abakaliki, was witnessed by party stalwarts, founding fathers, friends and well wishers.
Governor Nwifuru also charged the newly political appointees to be committed and discharge their duties efficiently as he will hold them responsible for security issues in the state.
`I am delighted this afternoon for the swearing-in of the new appointees.
`I am aware of the challenges in the state,but we are well equipped to tackle all of them.I do solicit for your patience and support. I have been confronted with a lot of challenges more especially security issues which I know will soon be things of the past. As SAs on security, you are in charge of security issues in your area.I will hold you responsible for any security bridges.
`The appointment of other principal officers will come within the week and swearing in is on Monday,” he said.
Responding on behalf of other appointees, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor,Hon.Felix Okemini promised to ensure security of lives and properties in the state and to justify the confidence reposed on them.
