Gombe State will host the North East zonal Public Hearing on the review of the revenue allocation formula, organized by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The public hearing is expected to sign post consultations that will lead to a new revenue sharing formula for the country.
The review is pursuant to the constitutional mandate of RMAFC that empowers it to review from time to time, the revenue allocation formula and principles in operation to ensure conformity with changing realities.
The states expected to participate and make submissions are Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe.
Members of civil society, academia, women and youth groups and interested individuals and organisations from the northeast geopolitical zone are also expected to make presentations during the 2 day session.
