Gombe Governor’s Sister, Aishatu Yahaya Umaru Burried

The remains of the late Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya Umaru, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s younger sister, have been buried today in Gombe.  

Aged 48, Hajiya Aishatu died in the early hours of today Sunday after a protracted illness. 

The funeral prayer for the deceased took place at the Federal Teaching Hospital,  Gombe and was led by the State Grand Khadi, Gombe State Shariah Court of Appeal,  Hon. Khadi Abdullahi Maikano Usman. 

Thousands of sympathisers joined Governor Inuwa Yahaya and his family members during the funeral prayer; including traditional rulers, topnotch politicians, heads of security agencies, Commissioners, Special Advisers, local government chairmen among others.  

The Mai Kaltungo, Engineer Saleh Muhammad, who is also the Deputy Chairman of Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs led retinue of Royal fathers, including the Mai Tangle, Malam Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba, Folo Dadiya, Alhaji AbdulKadir Galadima, Lamido Akko, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku, Mai Tula Abubakar Atare Buba, district heads among others in attendance.  

Also in attendance were the State APC Chairman, Mr. Nitte Amangal, former member representing Billiri/ Balanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Ali Isa JC and his colleague from Plateau State, Hon. Timothy Golu . 

The Governor also led the deceased’s husband, Alhaji AbdulKadir Dankasa,  other bereaved family members and sympathisers to accompany the remains of the late Hajiya Aishatu to her final resting place at the Gombe- Bajoga road cemetery. 

Governor Inuwa afterwards, has been receiving condolences at his family residence in Jekadafari quarters,  Gombe.
